Eczema on horses - KovaLine

Eczema occurs most often in the summer time, due to insect bites from mites. It can cause fluid-filled blisters, blemishes with fluid eczema, itching, swelling and hair loss as a result of the horse rubbing.

For the treatment of equine eczema, we recommend that you wash the infected area once a day in KovaLine Care concentrated Solution, mix it 1:10 with water and use a washcloth. You can also use our KovaLine Ready to use.

Use KovaLine Wipes if areas around the eyes and ears are affected.

Dry the washed area lightly with a clean, dry towel. Let it dry.

Follow us on Facebook and read users' own stories and their results with our products.

If the treatment has no effect within 2-4 weeks, it is important to contact the veterinarian and clarify if medical treatment may be needed. Furthermore, the diagnosis can be examined, as summer eczema / eczema can be confused with other skin disorders such as mites that requires a different treatment.
